'Canada Place' fountains, Vancouver - filmed here was the scene from the Duane Barry trilogy where Mrs. Scully tells Mulder to keep Scully's necklace and give it back to her when he finds her.

During December 1999 to February 2000, I ventured from Australia to check out North America. During this time, I took the opportunity to explore BEAUTIFUL Vancouver and attempt to find some locations from some of my fave eps.  I found locations at The V-Files page if anyone is interested in following up on such a trip.
Some results were as follows:  :-)
.
Gastown: The original part of Vancouver where you'll see many familiar street scenes as well as the infamous railyards used many times in X-Files eps.  Watching episodes, you'll note the distinct street lights  which line Water or Powell streets.  Notable Gastown scenes can be seen in 'Redux' and 'Beyond the Sea'.  Check out the "Angel made of stone" outside the transit centre near Canada Place.  Located very near the heart of downtown Vancouver and public transport, I found this was a great place to stay during my visit.

Buntzen Lake, near Anmore. Hard to get to and I found the location totally by accident on a tourist map, but Oh-my-God, was it worth the effort to get to this place, filming location of 'Quagmire', and 'Conduit' (Lake Okobogee, Iowa) among others.  Not only was I stoked to be in the place of filming of these episodes, but I swear, this has been and will always be on of the most beautiuful places I've ever seen.  Secluded, quiet still lake, closely surrounded by snow-capped mountains.  You can sit at this place and be at peace.  My journey to Buntzen involved nearly a two hour trip all up - on the skytrain to New Westminster Station, then a bus to the location, followed by a twenty minute hike through snow, forest and, well, pretty much 'Blair Witch' land!  Luckily, the wooden bridge across a marsh that you have to cross did NOT keep reappearing, indicating we would have been going around in circles, never to return home <g>!!  And don't forget to have a chat to the people working in the 'corner shop' at the top of the trail into the park - they'll fill you in on the stories of 'X-Files' filming, what happened in the camper vans that were parked up the top, what was filmed, where, and who... Vancouver locals seem pretty proud of all that is filmed in their home town!

... Lighthouse Park and Atkinson Point (lighthouse) in West Vancouver.  I read that the locals in this area are a bit upset at the "Hollywoodisation" of the park, as it's used to film so many scenes for tv and film.  However, for someone wanting to look out for those little green flies from 'Darkness Falls', this is the place to be!! (though, there are some establishing shots in that episode which I'm sure are from Buntzen Lake area...).  Complete with the little wooden huts used in the episode (not to mention scenery you're bound to have seen over and over in 'The X-Files' and more), and a very pleasant, short ten minute walk to the lighthouse at the point, definitely seek out this destination.  Note also, the area around the entrance to the park, just off Marine Drive  (in fact, lots of areas along Marine Drive have been used in the show) - I've seen heaps of little 'X-Files' scenes shot at this location.
.
St. Andrew Wesley Church, Scully's church from 'All Souls', is found on the corner of Nelson and Burrard Streets downtown.  Behind it is the hospital apparently used for 'Pusher'.
.
The classic building of Hotel Vancouver, downtown, where scenes from 'Fire' were filmed.
