"I met someone today - I don't know how to describe her... she's, she's... luminous!"
ONE FINE DAY

A modern day romantic comedy complete with cell phone mix ups and the like - One Fine day is the story of a single working mother and an irresponsible single father. Their paths cross one day when Jack forgot to contact Melanie in regard to their children's field trip that day. Both running late for work with two disappointed little children on their heals, Jack and Melanie part ways - with each other's mobile phone.

It just so happened that on that same day, the independent Melanie needs help to look after little Sammie because her work is just overpowering her, so to her dismay, she contacts Jack - using *her* phone number (because he has her phone remember) and asks for his help.

They each begrudgingly come to an agreement to help each other out during the various times of the day that the other just can *not* look after their child.

Melanie: "Your Peter Pan complex is so 90s."
Jack: "What Peter Pan complex?"
Melanie: "The one you're so proud of."
Jack: "Do you have any friends?"
Melanie: "I don't have time for friends."
Jack: "That's because of your Captain Hook complex."

A series of hilarious phone calls and quips between them occurs as their hectic day draws on. Eventually each helps the other out to more of a degree than was originally planned, and in true romantic comedy style, by the end of the day, they are both sad to part ways.

So, once again, in true romantic comedy style, after being told by his daughter that 'it's so obvious' that they like each other, Jack seizes the moment and thinks of the first excuse to drop around to Melanie's to see her.

You can guess how this one ends! This is a funny, cute and very sweet movie and George Clooney and Michelle Pfeiffer are great together. My only criticism is that it finishes *before* you exactly want it to, sorta like 'Sleepless in Seattle'. However, it's still a great romantic comedy in its own right!
