Final
verdict: I believe in remembering the stuff I used to love - a few years
on, Fran and Max are married etc etc etc. The show doesn't hold the same
interest for me anymore, but hey, it used to be really cool (I mean, it's
still funny, but...). So, in light of 'the good old days', bare in mind
that my 1999 opinion isn't the same. But I say 'long live the great ideas'.
The following was produced in the prime of this series:
.
This comedy
has been nominated for a few awards at prestigious events such as The Golden
Globe awards and the Emmys, and deservedly so. It is refreshingly
funny with some of the most brilliant quips on television coming from the
ever dry butler, Niles.
However, the story line most prevalent is that of the chemistry/romance/love
between Fran the Nanny, and her boss, Mr. Sheffield.
.
.
The Nanny has been on for several seasons now, each one producing
excellent episodes jam packed full of chemistry, with the odd 'close encounter'
which helped to prove to Niles, CC, the Sheffield children, the audience
and FINALLY Fran and Maxwell that they are indeed in love.
I believe this is one of the best romantic comedy shows on TV, and if people
would look at the story line and listen to the hilarious lines that come
out of this show, they may not put it down just because her voice is a
*little* annoying at times.
.
I rate the chemistry in this show

1/2
out of 5
I rate the romance in this show

out of 5
'cause it's
not quite there yet, but there are still lots of romantic moments between
the two.
