Last night I attended my second Human Nature concert, which was a tightened version of the Brisbane concert at the entertainment centre late last year.  Although the Brisbane concert was executed with spectacular precision and all expected theatrical glamour, the Cairns version held quite a few enhancements on the personal level.  Yes, I danced as much as I did at the Brisbane concert (despite the fact I was up in the back row at the entertainment centre and was on a dance floor at the Playpen - I was however, crammed at both venues) but had to wait five hours before Human Nature appeared on stage for their brief one hour appearance.
The performers however, were still as surprisingly spectacular as the first time I saw them.  Enter Toby, Mike, Phil and Andrew - but this time from a ‘next to the stage view’.
Despite under one hundred people present at seven o’clock (door opening time), the Playpen was packed by the time these four hoties emerged (sometime between eleven thirty and midnight) - but I held my spot at the front along with my companion Michelle B who had kindly graced us with her presence, not expecting (as I had felt at the Brisbane performance) the brilliance of this act and the high it leaves you on at the finale!
So, they began - the four spotlights soon occupied by the players.
Highlights are what need to be recorded here - up close and personal, the truth is, ALL of these guys are great looking honies (as Michelle so charmingly puts it!), with their own exquisite looks and talents.
Toby graced Michelle and I - personally - with his smile.  Get a load of this - during Wishes he pointed at myself and she - ALONE - as he sang the words "and I wish for you" - yes girls, that DOES melt your heart!  Eye contact and a smile is a wonderful thing!
As he moved directly in front of us he caught our eyes again and we exchanged smiles as he sang You got it goin’ on.  Eye contact and a smile definitely is a wonderful thing!
Finally, he noticed us AGAIN as he took his place in front of us for the beautiful Every time you cry.  He smiled as we welcomed his presence again, put his hand on his heart, looked at us again (eye contact is such a wonderful thing!) and bowed graciously to us!
[- insert Michelle’s and my excited scream at each other HERE]
I won’t detail our disappointment when we noticed a plain band on the fourth finger of his left hand!  We’ll simply remember his unbelievable smile - oh, and the touch of his finger as I finally managed to reach up and gain a clasp!
Remember also, as we will, Mike’s beautiful smile.  We received a great view of this wonderfully cute and talented singer, perhaps (memory a little foggy at this point) also being graced with a smile from him - I’m sure I snapped some great photos of him though!
Meanwhile, Phil surprised us with his coolness up close!  As Michelle’s chosen fave (I’m sorry, but Toby and Mike are the ones who’ve ‘got it goin’ on’ for me :-)  (however, as I said, they are all gorgeous when you get this kind of view!)), she AND I (of course) were ecstatic to be treated to another set of smiles from a further cutie of the foursome, Phil - as well as a full on hand shake - *sigh* - as our ‘reaching over heads with anxious yet, loving :-) looks on our faces’ efforts rewarded us a second time!  Add to this, eye contact, a smile AND a tip of his cowboy hat and a bow (in much the same fashion as Toby put his hand on his heart and bowed) - to Michelle and I AGAIN - our night was SMOKIN’!
And finally, Andrew was also gorgeous up close - being Mike’s brother, he also has the cute looks - AND we received a great smile from him!
A memorable and exciting night which will be remembered for an age (especially if the photos turn out the way I pray they will!) but is impossible to capture on this page.  Being so close is worth the effort ‘cause if you’re as star struck as me, you would have been blown away!
.
Now - today’s efforts are in finding out where they are staying!  Then, we are onto the plan of action for meeting Darren and Daniel - the honies that are Savage Garden - ooh we want you, truly madly and deeply :-)  [the scary part about that is that I wrote this before I found a way of meeting Savage Garden - 'must be fate Mulder!']
